my DVD drive won’t read DVDs after upgrading to windows 7 (it reads CDs only now)?

I have Pioneer DVR 113NP, it was working fine (reads and writes CDs and DVDs), the other day I bought windows 7 and upgraded my system from VISTA to 7, now my DVD drive reads and writes CD but NOT DVDs, I tried more than 15 DVDs: (Movies, Data, Burned DVDs) with no luck. I upgraded to the latest firmware and still no luck.. I need help please, I just don’t understand why it reads CDs but not DVDs

New DVD-RW drive not working?

I recently bought and installed a new DVD-RW drive, Pioneer DVR-112D. It's the only drive plugged into my secondary IDE channel and it's set to master. The computer recognizes it, its name is listed in device manager and everything… but it cannot read or write CDs and DVDs. For example, when i try to play an audio CD in windows media player, the tracklist comes up with the songnames and evertying in the playlist window, but then it says "Windows Media Player cannot read the CD. The disc might be dirty or damaged or the CD drive might be malfunctioning." When I try to burn a CD using Nero, it says "Burn process failed" and the blank CD is then ruined. I've tried firmware update, but it does not help.

¿Can’t erase DVD±RW or CD-RW in my DVD drive?

The facts are there. I have a pioneer DVR-108 DVD±RW discs writer, I can actually burn any DVD/CD disc type, all discs in the specification of the manual including DVD±RW & CD-RW. BUT When I write (burn) this kind of discs (DVD±RW & CD-RW) immediately later I can't erase them. ¿WHY? I have tried the ASPI DRIVER, maintenance to the hardware, I have not tried firmware but it's irrelevant. The last chance is reinstall Windows but I do not have much hope that it works. Do I need to buy other?. Thanx
OK the DVD writer is connected at Primary master, I have just one HDD but in SATA interface. My last chance is update the firmware but I don't have hope.

Newly installed DVD/CD RAM drives won’t recognize media?

I purchased my VAIO VCG-RA820G running Windows MCE 2005 in 2005. Both the CD/DVD ROM and CD/DVD writer drives went bad (I guess to be expected after a few years). Yesterday I purchased and installed 2 Pioneer DVD/CD writers and installed each in the upper DVD-RW and lower DVD-ROM bays. They are both model DVR-1910LS/DVR-113 running the 1.01 updated firmware.

why is my pioneer dvr 215 sata only burning at 1.6X?

installed it via sata cable, upgrades firmware, let windows and nero do the rest. Nero detects it as max 16x, says starting to burn at 16x , then flickers between 1.4x - 2.2x
